Here’s the thing about the nonsense of corporate-owned journalists like Bill O’Reilly: it’s far easier and quicker for someone like O’Reilly to fling it out left and right than it is for someone like Obama to come up with responses that sound meaningful and intelligent.
In this interview, O’Reilly has bits and pieces of what the American public wants to hear. And what’s frightening is that to most of the American public watching this, that’s apparently enough: they buy the right-wing journalist’s lies because they feed their vanity that they are "exceptional" people, whose right to "consume" is "God-given." With this kind of mentality, the American public is doomed. And, unless this entire planet divorces themselves entirely from the failure of American democracy (and addresses it so), then this entire planet is doomed.
